Mardi Gras Mobile Style

Thankful to be out of Florida. Excited to be on our way to visit friends in Louisiana. Tired and ready for a break we decide to stop in Mobile, Alabama. We arrived just in time for a Mardi Gras parade!
It was chilly and windy but that didn't stop people from coming out.  The streets were lined with barricades and people.  Our excitement was brewing.  As we waited for the parade to come our way we met locals and tourists.  One kind family let T and I use her VIP restroom pass.  We used bathrooms with marble counters instead of porta potties! I am forever thankful to that mom!  We all got a little bead hungry. But James and E acted as though they were catching hundred dollar bills.  In true Mardi Gras style, their enthusiasm was over the top! A photographer named Rex Anderson stopped us on the street to take some photos.  Then he was kind enough to email them to me! They turned out so well because he caught us in real moments, moments with little to no posing.

James has big plans for Mardi Gras 2013 and now we have the beads for it!

Beads, a stuffed animal throw, and a moon pie! E really scored big!

Happy Mardi Gras!
